Suggestions for new WD set-up
I just replaced my old TV 2002 F250 with a 2017 F250 Crew Cab with the 6.7l diesel. Since the receiver is now 2.5 inch I decided to get rid of my Husky WD set up with friction bars.
The trailer is a 30 ft TH and the loaded weights from the scale are:
4350 Steering Axle
5200 Drive Axle
1350 Hitch Weight
6850 Trailer Axles
I've towed it a couple times on short trips with just a heavy duty ball mount, and the truck squats down to about level. It tows a lot better (even when windy) than my old set up without any WD bars.
I would appreciate any suggestions before I buy and new hitch. Thank you.
