Takes All Kinds at a Dump Station

I can't believe people sometimes. We were at a dump station in Truckee and this couple with a 17 or 18 ft. travel trailer were cleaning, dumping and filling up with fresh water repeatedly. You could see this woman through the window working her butt off inside. They were there for an hour and careless about other people in line. I guess its always a first.

While traveling in Connecticut in June, there was a guy washing his entire RV at the dump station within the wayside.. He had his ladder out and was washing and waxing his monster RV. I was going to talk to him about it but my wife changed my mind for me. Next time, I am going to talk to the selfish person doing that (if there is a next time.)

That's why I leave as early in the morning as I am able to.. Usually around 8 am..

I used to stay until checkout time, but when you don't have sewer in your site, and have to do the 'dump station', at check out time you are 5 deep at least..

Then there is always "that guy" too...

Most do the dump and leave deal. 5-10 minutes at most... That's fine.. But, don't flush your tank when there is a line.. But, newbs don't know that, until they get stuck behind someone doing it..

Only a matter of time if that's their habit now. ๐Ÿ™‚

For those that still work and have children in school, the destinations are far more important than the journey still. I wish that courtesy, decency and awareness of others were still important traits...

Railroad crossings, elevators, escalators, and waiting in line at dump stations, we dedicate those times for smooching together. It's worked for 33 years and we still do it!

Smooching where Poo is passing through a 4" hose just feet away from you? And you've done this repeatedly for the past 33 years you say? I can't imagine feeling romantic watching some guy wearing a pair of rubber gloves pulling the Black tank valve to let it flow. If I tried that with my wife, it would be my last camping trip. "Hey Honey, the Poo is flowing. Lets play tonsil hockey! LOL

If you are watching things going on around you while smooching, you are not doing it properly. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This has to be the best thread EVER on this site!

Never been an issue for us. We have our own dump station in the side yard.

I waited in a dump station line for the first time in ten years of RVing last trip. We live in a small town and camp well away from cities.

I'll pass this info on to my GS. When he starts dating he can take his girl friend to a local dump station to make out.
I guess I was stupid when I was a kid, I just went to the Drive-In movies.
A dump station is much more romantic. :B
