Tesla S w/TrailManor

We did an overnight at Los Banos/I-5 KOA and this rig was parked behind us. Note the cable for the Tesla parallel to the trailer. Two things are interesting, first a Tesla S pulling a Trailmanor and two the cord from the pedestal to the Tesla is smaller than the cable to the trailer. There is no dog bone so I can only guess it is plugged in to the 20 amp CB.

The rig came in after we did and we did not notice it until the next morning. We left early and never saw the owner. I have no idea about any of the specs but the campground is more than 250 miles from Torrance where the trailer had been loaded. There was a temporary parking permit for loading and unloading and it had been issued by the Torrance PD.

The insanity continues. Let's honeycomb the neighborhood with tunnels and everyone can be stuck underground in traffic.

Thanks ... Turtle n Peeps for that outstanding link you provided above!!

Reading that article carefully and thoughtfully will reveal the real challenges in trying to convert the entire world to electrically powered personal transportation vehicles.

A workable electric vehicle for the ages will take true genius via a whole lot of perspiration.

How many of you would be happy if your truck or RV only had a 4 gallon tank in it for fuel? And no real good way to carry more fuel.

Would you be happy RVing around the country with a 4 gallon tank? This is pretty much what distance an EV has.

Tom Edison felt that "Genius is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration".

There's plenty of inspiration in this world to go around, but the boys at Tesla are right now finding out how tough it is to be a true genius due to that 99 percent part. I hope they don't take a bunch of greedy investors down with them.

I'll place my EV bet with the adults in the car industry and the scientists/engineers working with them trying to come up with a battery technology that has the energy density of gasoline and diesel. (And to go along with the energy density storage challenge ... how about coming up with affordable panels for solar farms with efficiencies way higher than the current 20 percent range?)

It's still classified as a class schedule 1 drug. Do the Cannabis operations take cash or do they deposit checks and debit and credit cards at a bank?

LOL, that's super funny, someone from Canada saying how US law works!

New flash FR. In some states MJ is legal. It is NOT legal in the US. That is a BIG difference!

I was in Co just a few days ago and all the Fed parks had a sign out front saying it was against the law the bring MJ into a Fed park. Go give it a try FR. See what those Fed Rangers do if you try to smoke a joint at lets say Mesa Verdi. Go on, give it a try! LOL

Here is a great example of it being a problem with the Feds.

There's no way that anyone was coming in to pay $420 a share for a company that has not made any money in 15 years with limited marketability because of the price range of the cars.

In the fall of 1995 a Canadian company looking for gold in Indonesian said they had found a massive gold deposit, their shares skyrocketed on the news, they had a market cap. of CDN$6 BILLION almost overnight.

The company was called Bre-X. It was all a fraud they later found out.

It never had any valuable assets nor ever made a penny of profit and yet it made a LOT of millionaires and bankrupted even more wealthy people along the way.

Don't put a ton of faith in the SEC. During the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme a guy named Mark Papa Lanos or something like that was alerting the SEC that his numbers were impossible compared to the market.

Employees within the SEC were also raising concerns and they were reassigned to different areas. In defense of the SEC they have a hard time Prosecuting big money people like Mark Cuban because they are outgunned on the lawyers. The lawyers can make more money in Silicon Valley and the business side versus being employed by the SEC who doesn't pay as well.

Search and read about the Volkswagen Porsche short squeeze. Musk waste time and energy by hating the short sellers that's what his tweets were about. The only problem with that plan is he had had prior arrangements for financing so that was a lie funding was not secured and he knows it.

There's no way that anyone was coming in to pay $420 a share for a company that has not made any money in 15 years with limited marketability because of the price range of the cars.

Maybe his intent is to drive the share price down to get it within range where someone will come in and put big money into it and then the stock will go up, at that time be long.

But another big part of the story with the SEC is they have to maintain faith in the investment community so it's going to be very interesting to see what actions they take. He's far from clear as it stands right now. He also has National Labor Relations after him because of the comments he made to Tesla workers when they considered unionization. His comments broke National Labor Law. It doesn't matter what you or I think about it there's a law about it

It's a rare person who has a Tesla and a roof full of solar to ONLY charge with that. The electricity is being created with Nat gas and coal. Imo the sun is the answer but it doesn't mean that only batteries are the answer. My money believes people will be rving and pulling heavy loads with hydrogen before battery. People say there is no infrastructure but that was no electrical infrastructure at one time and no gas stations.

Just like rving, it's not one size fits all. There are places for batteries and there are places for other technologies and some that we may not even know about yet.

Many people don't understand how the markets and shorting work. The short sellers are not doing something wrong or illegal and is usually more knowledgeable than most investors. They are taking an opposing position based on the financial numbers.

Others also hated the short sellers and a few that I can think of right off are Enron, WorldCom, Theranos, global crossing.

Short selling is NOT done on hopes or wishes or just believing. It brings balance and analysis to the market. Like constructive criticism.

You can go to the SEC and Wall Street and want to change it but realize before you go that the people you are talking two are going long and short.

The politicians that sit on committees and deal with our government have the ability and it's perfectly legal for them to use their knowledge about companies and go long or short the market. That's how they become wealthy they are not going in there and literally transferring taxpayer money into their bank account well some of them made at. They are able to know what is going to happen to a company if it's going to get a contract for military gear airplanes supplies any number of things in the market they have knowledge of that before hand so they short the market themselves or they go long.

Yeah, who are the others, chimpanzees?

Yeah smoking dope with Joe was simply brilliant. They have never made a profit and big bond payments are coming due. Do you have any idea of how much money he cost people by manipulating the stock price with outright lies. You think he's going to save us from fossil fuels with 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds and 150 mph cars. GREEN? IM Lmfao

So you enjoy breathing exhaust fumes,do you?

Like I said smoking weed is prefectly legal..why is it so hard to comprehend..

Lies what lies?
Musk has never been caught lying about anything, not even about taking Tesla private..
a Tweet is not a legaly binding agreement..

And Its a well known fact that lies only come from Stock Shorters..bent on harming Tesla..

Btw Tesla has made plenty of profits otherwise they wouldnt be here 12 years later..they simply reinvest it into GigaFactories and more SuperChargers..
I see TSLA stok going much higher stil..

The Tesla EV being able short-term-power-wise to pull that popout/up camp trailer notwithstanding ... wow ... I'd never want that small of a vehicle pulling that large and heavy of a box down the road.

I guess I'm just plain too old-fashioned to trust pure luck that much. The Los Banos area I drive through often has high cross winds to deal with.

P.S. If Tesla doesn't get it's business act together soon - the grownups that are beginning to manufacture EV vehicles are soon going to make the boys at Tesla irrelevant.
