The ROCKY Project - ROCKY the FLYING SQUIRREL
Here's ROCKY after getting him home, and doing a wash and wax.
Firstly there are some modifications already made by the original owner, including the tow bar.
Also there is the connector for the lights wiring already installed.
One of the first things I did was order a custom license plate holder, identifying our name for ROCKY the FLYING SQUIRREL.
In the rear is an interesting multiple function rack, which is for a bicycle carrier, a CB antenna mount, and a gas can carrier.
I removed the hanger hooks for the bike.
To that I added a third brake light which is on a modulator.
The extra aftermarket lights are wired to be powered by the MH.
I put 4 new tires on, since the date code was from 2002.
I built a new panel for a CB radio, intending it to mount below the AM/FM unit.
Here's the assembly, which includes an extra cigarette lighter socket and two fuse holders for future circuits.
CB installed.

Here's a PA speaker hooked up to the CB that was installed by the original owner.
This is a Stebel Nautilus horn, good for 140 dB. Gets anybody's attention, guaranteed.
This is going to be the mounting bracket for the breakaway switch.
Breakaway switch installed.
Made a cup holder.
Ready to tow for the first time.
I scored a Brake Buddy Vantage Select on fleaBay and saved $700.
I had to buy chains, and I made a longer electrical cable, first so I could check lights in the driveway.
