- Go_Dawgs1ExplorerMan thats in the mountains and we have had a couple of nice cold fronts move through. Remember April was in the 70's and 80's.
- amandasgrammaExplorer:) :) I'm in LaPine, just south of Bend. We've had snow off and on all day. :) The snow this time of year here will be incidental......nothing to worry about. If you plan a trek over the passes after 10:00 and before 4:00, you have an excellent chance of the roads being clear.......before and after those times will mean the wet pavement will ice up. Have a safe trip.

Not worried about the trip, just amazed at the weather for this time of year.
These were the driving conditions coming home from the coast in January of 2011, but at least it was "seasonal"! This is Highway 26 coming home from a long weekend at Nehalem Bay SP by Manzanita. - MrWizardModeratoryes next Monday is Memorial day
next week end is the holiday weekend
yup, mother nature is tough - VeebyesExplorer IIWe had plans of Crater Lake next week & driving the rim. Looking at the forecast, change of plans. We will head for the coast. Record cold has been with us ever since we started 6 weeks ago in MD.
- fla-gypsyExplorerIt is still spring down here in the deep south too. Lows in the 60's each morning with highs in the mid 80's but it will warm up soon. I have always wondered why the English language has no punctuation marks to indicate sarcasm? Interesting isn't it?
- BillB800siExplorerMan I'm looking forward to some "COOL" days. It's been in the 80's & 90"s up here in Southeastern Michigan. Have to run the A.C. to sleep right. This weekend it's dropping back down to the high 60's.
I was thinking we blew right through Spring and into hot summer.
Happy trails, - Dave_H_MExplorer IIHeck yeah it is, it is totally obvious to me by looking at the price of go juice at the pumps. :S :B

I think Crater Lake is about a July visit this year! Roads leading to it are all packed snow right now.
The Oregon coast is great any time of year. - goducks10ExplorerWhy would you go over Tombstone pass? That's the long way from Salem. We live in Salem (Keizer) and the normal way is on US22 through Detroit. No snow there. Snow at the Santiam junction. Temps should warm up a bit tomorrow and the pavement should just be wet. We're taking off Friday for Suttle Lake. Fingers crossed on that. I did mention to the wife last night while turning on the pellet stove that normally we never use it this late in the year. Hey at least diesel is cheaper than reg. Haha.
