Thousand Trail membership question

I've seen on here it being suggested to buy a TT (or other similar)membership 2nd hand. Where does one find those who are selling? I thought of looking on Craigslist, but am afraid it wouldn't be legit.
  • I bought my membership 33 years ago from a private party for

$1,700 Use it about 150 days a year. Dues are only $275 year. You can find on Craigs List "free" and you pay the transfer fee The zone pass is a great deal.
Pay for one year and walk away if you do not like it

Many sell on Ebay, and Craigslist. With Thousand Trails, the seller gives you his membership number, you call TT directly and get the complete rundown of what that particular membership entitles you to.
We bought ours for $500.00 years ago and because we fulltime, we can't count the money we have saved with the membership.

Same here! We have saved the cost of the original price twice over.
  • bought ours over 10 years ago from Campground Membership Outlet .... Thousand Trails has offered bunches of memberships over the years .... we have found that being able to stay 3 weeks, going park to park, and being able to book as far in advance as possible to be highly beneficial

  • Get the 21 day, park to park, membership...you won't have to stay out 7 nights then. I paid $1500 + $750 transfer fee for mine and around $550 yearly maintenance fee. Stayed 186+ nights the first year. I love mine. Around the first of the year, TT has been offering 2 zones for the price of one (around $500). You might want to check on this, too, and just decide not to buy a membership, especially if you're not going outside certain areas.
