Time to change the water heater anode?
I'm thinking maybe next time I won't wait quite this long. :S Actually there is a little zinc left and the tank flushed out nice clean after spitting out the crumbled chunks. I'll be pickin...

Yep, true that. After 50 years in San Diego where the water is so hard you have to sneak up on a glass just to get a drink and Tucson for 10 years where the H2O isn't much better my insides look like Carlsbad Caverns.... :S
No wonder I drink beer.
