Depends on the state, Colorado charges a percentage of the list price decreasing every year for 10 years down to a fixed fee. And yes that was a small factor in deciding if we wanted to get a newer or older coach. Folks with new high dollar vehicles/RVs get nailed, my '06 F-250 was a bit over $500 when we moved here in '06, now it's down to high $200s. The '99 Alpine is under $200, even though there are weight fees for RVs.
