to remove or not to removefuse 2006 crv

the owners manual says to remove the fuse that's for the front acc plug, but I need the plug to power my brake buddy? Whats the best way to proceed? Thanks Woody
  • For my 2011 CRV I now use a battery pack/jumper cables from Harbor Freight. About $50. Just have to remember to recharge it every so often. Has a meter. I did this after having the car battery dead a few times. You can also run a fused at both ends cable from the rig battery to the car's. I had only a four wire cable so I did it an easy way. Works great. Went from Reno to the tip of Nova Scotia and back with zero problems.
  • It does? Our 2006 CR-V tows/runs just fine without fiddling any fuses
  • We have had a 2009 and now 2014 and have never pull a fuse. I think that worse case would be a dead battery.
    Good Luck
  • Add a second acc outlet directly wired to the battery with its own fuse?
