- BumpyroadExplorerread your owner's manual under either towing behind a motorhome or recreational towing, that is the only valid reference.
since your warranty is no longer in effect, it is your roll of the dice. I would not tow anything that requires modification to do so. had a drive shaft disconnect on a S-10 and that sucked.

I'm with the Above Engineer on this one. To me Owner Manual Not Towable = Trailer or possibly Dolly. Many have been successful with Pumps. I just don't feel "That Lucky." So far, we've towed manual shift vehicles and been able to find towable ones. With the move to CVT automatics, it's gonna get worse and worse to find a towable automatic.
I looked at the REMCO site for 2005 Pacifica, and it required more information than you posted to see if they thought they had a pump kit that would render it towable. By all means, go look, but be very very detailed with your info. Then I think I'd do two more things:
1. Call REMCO and confirm everything. Even ask if they've had issues.
3. Post here and elsewhere, asking how the setup has worked out for owners.
As I said, REMCO has many satisfied customers. Also some failures. And when one goes bad, it's VERY BAD. - sch911ExplorerThe Pacifica is definitely not towable 4 down as is. Some have reported success when using a lube pump from Remco (as previously mentioned) but there's still risk of damaging the tranny if the pump fails. Consider an alternate vehicle?
- Dutch_12078Explorer IIHave you ordered a Remco transmission pump kit for it? Your Pacifica is not 4-down towable without one installed.
- j-dExplorer IIDo you have the Owner's Manual? If not, let's try to find one. That's the Authority. Be aware, that some Makes/Models may have more than one powertrain, and not all of them (if any, actually...) might be towable.
