We are towing a 2014 Equinox for the first year. When towing, the owner's manual says the vehicle has to be run for 5 minutes in the morning and five minutes every time we stop to re-fuel. Does anyone...

We towed our Equinox and when traveling maybe 10 hour days I would start it first thing in morning and again after stopping, next day the same thing
never went thru the gears, auto, but did what the car manual said to do. When
you stop at night it is nice to run the car maybe 10 minutes than take the keys
out and lock it up, in the morning run the car, remove the fuse, put it in "N"
and away you go...this is what we did anyway.
