Saw that on CNN today. The cop in the video said they had numerous run ins with them and they were well known by loss prevention at Wal*Mart. Sounds like they should have intervened earlier. Hopefully local police and Wal*Mart management will continue to recognize the difference between vagrants and legitimate RVers that need to get a few hours sleep. - IAMICHABODExplorer IIAnd now there is VIDEO as there always seem to be.

That sucks. There's a pretty big difference between 9 derelicts living in a Suburban and abusing the store's facilities and someone rolling up in a MH for a night. But, unfortunately this will cause WalMart and towns to crack down. My local WalMart has "No Overnight Parking" signs all over the lot, but trucks and MHs stay there routinely. As long as there's no trouble, the police look the other way.

Well, you can rule out Cracker Barrels now, too. There a post of a robbery while parked to go in to eat. Those 'undesireables' are everywhere now. :) Better stay in your driveway.

Thanks, didn't want you to think I was being hateful. I didn't really think you were using as a legal term, and didn't consider it misused. And btw, I'm taking my two mutts for their summer haircuts today.....

Did not take your posts as hateful, just an honest difference of opinion. All is good. - OkSixpackExplorer

I happen to agree with getting my butt busted for messing with things that are "none of my concern," as my mom used to say.
We won't agree, and as long as respect is maintained, that is perfectly O.K. Actually I appreciate hearing opposite opinions. It makes me evaluate my position.
FYI: "attractive nuisance" is a legal term. I just misused it.
Happy Camping to ya.
