Traveling Alone

Most of us travel with a partner, husband and wife etc., but some travel alone. How many are traveling solo and what can you tell us about your experiences?

I'm the same as Vermilye, lost my wife 5 yrs. ago. I've done 6 trips to Florida, solo, no problems. I do catch myself talking to myself quite a bit, but at least I get the answers I want.
I'm getting to like the long 500 mile days by myself.....maybe I'm a bit weird, but that's how it is.:)
Just make the best of life and enjoy it!

I've been traveling alone since my wife passed away 4 years ago. Around 45,000 miles over the last three years. If you are interested, I keep a journal - all my trips are linked here and the current one indexed here.

While I miss my wife & traveling companion, I still enjoy hitting the road.
