I'm pretty sure this has been discussed before, but I think the campsite we had this weekend topped as our personal worst campsite. I actually enjoyed the park itself, the campsites overall were spacious and everyone had a bit a privacy and I would even go back.Pulled into the state park Friday nite, checked in, made it to our camp site, and as we're plugging in the power cord to the power box, I look down and a previous camper had dumped right there at the campsite and I'm not talking gray water.I reported this to the park ranger and apparently this is not the first time this has happened. This particular park does not have a dump station - I can live with that, just stop someplace else on the way. But apparently, this upsets quite a few people, so they take it out on the park and the incoming campers.How do people that do this live with themselves???

Just terrible!! Such a health hazard. Hopefully they will get caught and fined.

It's the 'all about me' attitude. Sorry some slob ruined your site.You can't fix rude/stupid. I agree, I don't know how some people live with themselves.

When people are given enough stuff for nothing they begin to think someone else should take care of everything for them.

They should know who was previously in the site.Send them a fine in the mail.

The pigs don't even realize they do it. They see nothing wrong it. probably in their eyes its clean.

To many people have the attitude that "they pay people to clean up" I dont roll like that. Those people work hard enough because of a few lazy slobs. I like the fact that by me being an adult and picking up after myself that it will make someones day that much easier.

Campground hosts everywhere thank you. Campers like you helps "balance" off the pigs.

I always bring a rake with me camping. Its nice to rake the area under my patio mat so its free from small twigs and things. During my stay i rake around the fire ring at least once a day to pick up peanut shells and other things that may have hit the ground during the previous nights fire. When I leave, I do a quick once over of the site with a rake to pick up any stray wrappers and such.

send a grup of military personel after them, drag them back to the park and make them lick it up,,,,, well ok you can't make them eat it, make them clean it up with teaspoons and sponges, or face a $20,000 "ignorant a$$" fine

Well that depends. In Seattle they are using DNA to track down people who don't clean up after their pets. Seems like it would work in this case. :)

While I agree, but as one poster mentioned, what's stopping someone else going into another vacated site and dumping or leaving trash, etc?

If I had my music a little too loud and my neighbor reported me, what would stop me from going over and leaving stuff on his site after he left and before the site was checked?

THE reason I sold off all my rentals. Just couldn't stand cleaning up after the pigs.

"They are what they are" and it doesn't make any difference if it's a motel room, rental or CG where they are staying at, sadly they are an unavoidable blight on society and they will never change.

If not on the ground, we have had people dump into an open bucket and leave it for us, the hosts when they left a site. Some people are just pigs.

When I was growing up, if one was called a liar, that was fighting words. Now, it is considered a compliment, along the lines that one was smart enough to trick another.

A similar thing with hotel rooms. Things that I never would even think of doing, like trashing a hotel room, are considered "cool" now, because the rockstars and celebrities on TV do it.

I'm not surprised to see this attitude carry into RV-ing. An attitude of "I paid for the site, let others clean up my poop (literally)" is something I wouldn't be shocked to see. I also wouldn't be surprised to see someone say, "if the rock bands can dump their poop on top of a bridge onto ferry underneath, why can't I?"
