Is there a cure or some type fix for under carrage rust? I have spent a good amount of time at the beach and my motor home has suffered for it. Thanks everyone. ๐Ÿ˜ž

I agree with using one of the rust converter products as a primer, but then cover up with one of the waxy rust preventive products. I had the van done at the local body shop, but I climb underneath and touch things up once a year or so. I have been using:

Eastwood Anti-Rust Black

It makes a nice satin/flat black finish that never really gets hard so it won't chip or flake. It sort of heals up if it gets scratched. We take the van onto the beach often, and so far, so good. I think the secrete is to stay on top of it.

Go to Tractor Supply and get some Rust Cutter
Spray or brush/roll it on the chassis (make SURE you wear a respirator mask!), let dry for a few hours, and then paint over it with a Rustoleum type paint.

I did the above to my trailer chassis about 3 or 4 years ago and it still looks great today. It was quite rusted before that.

You can use a rust converter. It stops the rust and provides a base for you to prime and then paint. It works great on surface rust.

If you have rust that is eating away the metal, you really need to use the rust converter, prep the site well and get some good rust inhibiting paint on it. The rust will keep eating away and weaken that area of the frame if you don't stop it in time.
