Water leak!!!!

Just ranting here;
We got back from a several hundred mile trip, wonderful time, no problems at all. Three weeks later, I filled the fresh water tank for usage while camp hosting at the Elks--and there was this drip, drip, drip from the belly area under the fresh water tank. AARRRGGHH!! It lost almost all the water in a 7 day period. Drats.
The good part of this rant is that I get out of house painting for a few days while I look into the problem. I do love the trailer and don't mind the upcoming chore.
See ya out there
  • The tank has sagged all around the drain valve, to the point where I think the belly was actually holding up the plastic. That's where the leak is.
    We're going in next week for an estimate for a new tank. That way, we'll be set with no worries for awhile. What's money????

  • Some of the leaks can be a connection, either a compression ring or a threaded unit, I have had both, one on the valves that directed the water and the second on the connection to the accumulator, tightened the first re made the valve set up since it was wasting space, gained one cubic foot of storage.

    Look for all the crimped connections and check as others suggested at the drain valve, I had to make protection barriers on mine so that the storage of items did not open the valves under way or when we retrieved an item.

  • they have this new stuff called vinyl it looks great and no more paint, more time to rv. and repair leaks.
  • Wow, plumbing beating painting.

    Don't rush me, I'm thinking.
