For about as long as I remember we've been told to set pressure regulators at 40 psi. If I wanted a good shower I turned on the pump because inlet water was not enough.Well,we had to change out the water pump. It's an Aqua flow with 5.3 gallons per minute at 65psi, at ten amps.It can be set to 75 lb according to the website unless it is referring to the 115 volt version.Motor is good just need to rebuild the pump section.Haven't heard from the factory if they sell rebuild kits.Put in a box and in the bay for a spare.It has lasted 12 years, with a lot more use than the 3900 miles on the odometer.

40lb is to keep from blowing out the plumbing out. If you're looking for a better shower, change out the head before you get to fix a joint in the middle of the wall. It sux..

PEX is rated at 100#55# for an RV is not an issueI set my water regulator at 50# StaticFor better flow at shower..........remove/enlarge restrictor in shower hose.Some are removable. If not just enlarge with a drill bitMUCH better flow thru shower head.Turning water pump on doesn't increase flow or pressure unless pump flow/psi is higher than connected water supply source.Pump will not run if lower........city water check valve will close if higher

I'm @50 as well, and he's running 50% above us, bumping up on what's considered "high pressure" around 80

Just dealt with low pressure @ my shower head.Problem was caused by blocked passages at restrictor plate at shower head. Drilled mine out and increased the size to 1/8"Removal of restrictor plate as mentioned above would work just as well.

We have our regulator set at 50# as the hot water on demand works better at that setting

I've been in this Cameo long enough to know that 50psi is not a problem at all. Even my RV mechanic said 50 would be fine.

The pipes in most modern RV's are PEX and can easily handle 150 PSI. Also freezing.. The hard plastic Elbows and adapters are not immune to freezing but also should be able to handle well over 100 PSI.

The valves and seals on some of the hardware inside the RV, like the toilet, may blow at around 60 PSI. so there you have it.. My regulators are set to 50 PSI.

First thing I do when I get a new RV is to remove/drill-out all the restrictor plates in the faucets and shower head. Amazing how this helps the water flow.

When I had a Winnebago, a factory rep told me that the coaches were tested at 100 psi for leaks in the water system. But, he recommended that we run at 50 psi or less.

To get the best water pressure, I fill the water tank and then use the water pump to provide consistent water flow at all the outlets.

It's my belief that the highest water pressure encountered is when the water heater initially heats up. The expansion space in the water heater is insufficient at best and prone to being filled with water. If actual water pressure is 50-60 PSI I'm not concerned as long as it doesn't spike when heating.

Anyone concerned about water pressure should install expansion tank or let a faucet drip when heating water initially.

My Winnebago came with a recommendation to get a water pressure regulator set at 45psi, which is what the pump was. I bought a spare Shur-Flo pump, just because, and it came at 55psi. I emailed Winnebago, they said the 55psi water pump was OK, but still recommended 45psi for the shore water.
