Water Pump Low Pressure in Kitchen

Hello All,

Hoping somebody else has had this problem so that I know what to do first. The problem I'm having is that the bathroom faucet runs great, shower runs good, toilet flushes normally. Kitchen water pressure however is a trickle. Comes out very weakly but it does come out. Also makes a different noise than when the pump activates constantly with the other faucet. The pump sort of comes on, then goes off, then comes on, then goes off.

I don't see any water leaking anywhere as if there's a hose with a problem. Hopefully there isn't a leak somewhere that's not visible. Any thoughts as to why the kitchen pressure is so low?

Thanks in advance.
  • Remove the aerator/strainer on the end of the kitchen taps, Remove the crude on the screen and then enjoy the normal water pressure. No cost repair, 5 minutes of your time.

  • or clean out that big fat spider that crawled into the open pipe while you unit was drained out for the winter and is now trapped and dead at the taps
he'll rot away in a month or so and the water will return to normal

    :W

    just kidding

    maybe
  • If there was a leak, the pump wouldn't go on and off, it would stay on. Sounds like something is blocking the water - either in the hoses or in the faucet. Is it happening with the hot water and the cold water? Then it is probably the faucet. If it is happening with one or the other, could be that big fat spider.
  • Don't know what you are driving, there might be a filter under the sink that needs to be replaced. my motorhome has one on the cold line.
