Water Source Fill Up Lists...

There used to be a list of sites on the Good Sam Club website that were Good Sam Member friendly who offered free water fill-ups along a road trip...

It's been several years since I needed it, as most of my recent camping has been on routes where no water exists or in a full service campground.

I am traveling from Phoenix, AZ to Baker. CA next Thursday the 10th of March and would like to find a place where I can fill my 140 gallon tank with fresh water so I don't have to drag around the extra 1000+ lbs of weight.

My rig is around 50ft long with the dually hooked up, and I have a 25ft fresh water hose. My fill is about midway down the rig on the driver side

Thanks, any helo would be appreciated.

    Yep. I usually leave about 10 to 15 gallons in the tanks, have 2-5 gallon drinking water jugs full, and a flat of water bottles.

    Agree to on the guns. I shoot competitive every Tuesday nigh, using a Springfield XDm 40 competition 5.25". My carry is a Glock 19. :)

    I cannot tell any differance with 140 gallons of water in my tanks, none. But, the day you break down in hot weather with 4 adults and a 2 month old baby and you dumped water before you left camp to save weight, well you'll never do that again.

    Always be Prepared!! And carry Water!!

    Good idea... forgot about Loves... ever since they told Good Sam to go pound sand I've limited my use of their stations

    Nope. Leaving my house for a 330 mile trip.... up some strong mountain grades and simple want to limit my load

    If you're staying at a full hookup site prior, why not just fill up there. We also traveled with at least a 3/4 tank of water because we didn't make plans and stopped wherever the mood struck.

    Or, there are many dump stations that have potable water. Find one close to where you're landing. You could also stop at a RV park just prior to you next campsite and ask to fill. Sometimes there's a charge; sometimes not.

    FWIW, typically Sanidumps is what we use and as we empty the black and grey we are able to refill out empty FW tank, so you should be able to source that way. We also find most gas stations will have a water spigot (and usually hose attached) and we've yet to be told we can't fill up our tank with some water at zero charge after having filled our fuel with them.

    Of course YMMV.
