Weight distribution bars

How can you tell if the weight distribution bars are on the correct chain link? Before hitching I measured from the top of the front wheel well to the ground.37 in. Then took measurement after I hitched and it still was 37 in. Truck and trailer are level.
  • Measure the height of the truck only, then again with the trailer hooked up but w/o the weight bars chained up. Ford says to split the difference when setting up the weight transfer.
  • Did you measure after trailer on Hitch ball WITHOUT spring bars hooked up?
That compared to the other measurements really show you how much the WDH is working for you.
With the current info posted it sure seems like you have it right.
