Weight distribution hitch question

I have pieces to a draw Tite wd setup. I only have 1 bar and the snap up brackets that are still attached to the used travel trailer I purchased. On the bar, it says 600 lbs max tongue weight (2 bars). My question is, is this a 600 or 1200 lbs set up. I have a picture of it but can't seem to figure out how to post it. ?????

Ditto. Very helpful customer service, fair prices, and fast shipping.
  • etrailer is great to work with. I've purchased 2 hitches and a new suspension system for our 5er from them. Full disclosure: I've met the owners and toured their facility for unrelated reasons. Good family business.

  • I have a Husky Centerline TS and it works very well. Others have good experiences with the Blue Ox sway pro, and Reese dual cam setups. Whatever you choose, make sure to buy based on the actual tongue weight of the loaded trailer, rather than the dry tongue weight given in the brochure.
  • Thank you. I'm going to look for a new set up with sway control.

Anyone buy from etrailer? Wondering how they are to work with?
  • Or just buy 2 new bars. And to answer you question. If it has 600lb stamped on it. Then it is a 600lb setup. Another bar won't make it a 1200lb setup.
  • in my opinon throw what you have away and go buy a new set up because you will never get a single bar to match the old bar because the new bar will be stronger
