We know that both F250's and F350SRW's use the same axles and brakes and have the same braking ability.
The F250's GVWR is de-rated on paper to 10,000 lbs for registration reasons, whereas the F350SRW's max GVWR is 11,500 lbs.
So far as ability to stop the weight the truck is carrying, the F250 is good up to the max GVWR of the F350SRW.
So, this combination is A-OK, in my opinion.
While it the the owners choice, X2 SoCalDesertRider, statement. I am in the same boat over GVWR, and well within axle ratings and very well within tire ratings.
We travel a lot of narrow twisty tow lane roads and have no issues with staying with traffic at the sped limit or slightly better and driving twisty roads the true test of how it all works.
Interstates are a dream!!!!
