What apps do you use that you find really helpful?

One more off-topic post: the difference between those activities, is that the agencies you've mentioned are tasked with keeping your information private, and failed. The information from your cell phone activity is given freely when you agree to install and use a particular app. They have it and use it, but you've agreed to allow that. Big difference.

If you believe that opting out from using a few apps will keep your activities secret and secure you are deluding yourself.
Your internet provider can track every location you visit, how long you spent there what you downloaded and your current location.
Everybody knows how trustworthy the big carriers are, your best interest in mind and all that.

I do not have any "apps". In fact, I have no device that can handle any such a thing.
I have a road atlas, and a Woodalls campground book. Yes, they are old, and I should get new ones. I know the Atlas is still available in book form, at Walmart and Costco.
The Woodalls may be available only in an "spp" in the modern world. If so, I will keep my old one. It is out of date, but most of the information is still usable.

As someone else stated, my cell phone is a telephone, nothing more. I do not even send texts.

I really like iExit for finding gas stations and rest areas on interstate highways. Using what highway you are on and what direction you are going (which it figures out automatically) it tells you how far away each exit is and what's there.

We also have several internet cameras located thruout the house that we can access from our smart phones.

For finding fuel in a class A DP, I just found "Fuel Book", it does a great job of getting low price fuel along a route, much better than GasBuddy. It only shows places with truck lanes.

DutchmenSport...When I use GasBuddy on Android or on the computer website, they don't have the map in satellite view where I can see the gas station layout. I can click on the gas station (on website) or click on "Get directions" on Android app...then it goes to Google Maps, where I can change to satellite view. Not a big deal, but it's an extra step.

Because of what you've written, I'm just curious if the iPhone/Pad GasBuddy app actually shows the map in satellite view within the app. I wrote to GasBuddy quite awhile ago and they told me for some reason they can't get satellite view into their Android app.

You're not paranoid if it's all true. And it is. It just depends on whether it bothers you or not. Most people don't mind being followed, tracked, and listened to, they just say "I don't have anything to worry about, I haven't done anything".
