What Caulk Should I Use

Water weeps out between the aluminum track rail and either acrylic or plastic shower. I see it running from this location and am sure the caulking has failed.

What is the proper clear caulk for this repair?

Thanks

It's designed to drain out through the inside from slots at both ends so that didn't seem to be a good idea. I agree that grunge under the rail is in my future.

I was thinking of pulling it and caulking the whole area under it and resetting it but it's too new to go to that extreme at the moment.
  • caulk it on the inside so you don't have grunge growing under the rail.

I sealed it with RTV and it held up great.
    Thanks
  • I use pro flex clear - same caulk I use on the outside windows.

I have some Dow Corning RTV 3140 silicon. I'll use that then.

    thanks
  • Had a similiar problem with my shower when new. Used white 3M industrial bathroom silicon caulk on all internal seams on the shower. All leaks gone, 2 years now.
  • GE Silicon Kitchen and Bath will do the trick. Cut out the old product, remove it thoroughly before putting down the new. Less is more. Wet your finger and make a smooth track.
