- Ron3rdExplorer IIIYou're right, the 25ft site is for a 25ft trailer. Your truck parks elsewhere, typically on the side. I would call your trailer a 24ft trailer btw.
- skipncharExplorerDepends on the fine print in the campground information. SOME tell you the driveway length and in that case it would include both the TV and the trailer. Some give you merely a number but I'd recommend you consider if you really want to camp somewhere that tight. If a couple of feet make the difference between getting in or not then I'd opt to NOT (camp there). Check into public campgrounds like NFS, COE or BLM where land is not that tight and spread out and relax a bit.
Good luck / Skip - JesLookinExplorerMeasure camper from front to rear, that is the length. 20BH is the model number, doesn't always necessarily describe the length.
- jmcgsdExplorerDepends. In the National Forest Service CG's around here if they say 25' that's probably total in most cases. If you're longer, good luck finding a space for the TV. The same is generally true of our county parks, but sometimes there is enough width for the TV next to the TT.

X2 The reason we purchased the unit we did, was to stay under 30 feet for the older sites in the National Forests.
We have found that state and Corps. Of Engineers sites, generally, are larger. - 2gypsies1Explorer IIIWe love national forest campgrounds and use them often as we travel. We have found that if it says 38-40' and sometimes even 36', we can fit our 40' motorhome and Jeep in the space so I would say it's the RV length. However, we rarely make reservations. We'd rather see the sites. We do pull in early in the day and during the week - not weekends.
- blw2ExplorerI have never understood that number.
For example, we just stayed at a Florida SP a couple weeks ago. Reserve America lists the site we are in with a 40Ft limit.
I was actually thinking about this very question that you posed, and I stepped it off. Now I can't remember the number, but it was ballpark 80ft that could have gone in that spot.
A few weeks prior at a different SP, the 30ft limit site we were in could fit around a 40ft rig.
The 80ft and 40ft numbers I mention would be TV + TT OR MH
I think the published limit is supposed to be the "camping unit".... the TT or the MH, not including your TV but based on my experience the "camping unit could be a lot more usually, with the TV parked beside the TT or perpendicular to the space..... - AllworthExplorer IITrailer (or MH)
