I used the grocery bags I received when shopping and used them as liners on a small gallon can.
Open each bag and put them into the trash can like a liner. You might have eight layered in there, but it’s not an issue. (I ended up putting Command hooks on the sides to hold the handles.)
Every. Single. Day. I removed one liner and whatever had accumulated in it — disposing in any publicly available garbage receptacle.
Library, gas station, sidewalk can, grocery store, wherever. Nobody notices one small bag of trash being dropped in an appropriate receptacle.
