Looking to upgrade to dual T-125 6v Trojans in series.Shipping seems outrageous at the few websites I looked at. ($200+ ea?)Before I spend hours looking on the internet I thought I would ask here *hoping* for a quick inside scoop to an online retailer with reasonable shipping.The closest distributor listed on the Trojan website is several hours away from me.

Call around to local stores which sell golf carts.

I got them at a local golf cart place. Not sure which model 6V I got, but it did not come with the separate strap. The dealer gave me one. It would be difficult to lower into the RV without a strap.

When you call them ask about the GC-2 battery. A brand name battery such as Duracell, Napa or Interstate etc are just as good as Trojan in my opinion.My Napa GC-2 batteries are 7 years old and still going strong.

And if you are willing to accept another brand, you can get them from Sams, Costco, or Batteries + Bulbs and avoid the shipping.

I got the best deal from an independent battery shop in town. Just call around and ask.

Lots of THICK plates !

Quick rule of thumb for comparing lead acid batteries. Check their weight ! The heavier (more lead) the better !!

If you look at the Trojan website there is a list of retailers and there are a few in new your not sure where you are? I bought mine from a distributer in mass when I had them. They were good batteries true deep cycle heavy with lots of plates and lasted 4 years and went with my trailer when I sold it.

You may be right on all quality being the same, who really knows. I have two Trojan T-105's that are in year 8 of full time use with no signs of issues. Love 'em.

$100 at the local Interstate dealer, $90 at Batteries + Bulbs for Duracells (10% off online.) And Batteries + Bulbs has the cheapest GC2 boxes I've found.

The T145 have a bit more capacity the the typical Trojan T105 GC2 battery (260 Ah vs 225 Ah). The Duracell and Interstate GC2 sold at Sams/Costco are a bit less (215 Ah).

When you factor in the price and availability, it is hard to beat either the Duracell or Interstate batteries.

Oddly enough, there's a marina near me where everything is crazy expensive but the sometimes have great prices of Trojans.
You might check with one near you.

The Costco/Interstate ones around here this year have significantly less value than in the past. 175AH/$109, I think they were. In the past, it was more like 207Ah/$85. I found some 220Ah black box Trojans for $100 each.
