My husband and I have work camped in BC for the last two summers. We came from Ontario to BC specifically to work at a campground. We blanketed the BC Provincial Park Campground management companies with our resumes and got several calls. One was from Stone Mountain Provincial Park on the Alaska Hwy in north BC, which we accepted immediately. We spent the last two summers working there and loved it! You could probably do the same thing in Ontario. I know there are a lot of summer campgrounds in the north, just don't look for anything in the GTA.
They are always in need of people on the Alaska Hwy and its beautiful up there, but rugged!
We work and live at a campground in Kelowna now. It's a full time, all year position and we love it here! Its open all year and is also an orchard! We would never have gotten this plumb position here if we had not first gotten experience at campground management up north.
