Any other campgrounds like Jellystone?

We are new to camping this year. We just returned from a great long weekend at Jellystone Branson. Our four year old had a great time and enjoyed all the kid focused activities. Are there any other campground franchises that are kid focused like that? We live in Northwest Arkansas and have stayed mainly at CoE parks that we love, but the kid stuff was a great change of pace for our kids. Just wondering if there anymore out there.
Thanks,
Chris

Check out Lake Rudolph Campground, next to Holiday World Amusement Park in Santa Claus, Indiana. Great place for the kids!

Fort Wilderness might have a little something for kids.

We have several Jellystones that we love. It seems to me that many of them are going through major improvements, too. One close to us (Mill Run, PA) just put in a serious water fun zone.

The KOA is Monroe County KOA, it's over near Detroit area. However, we live near lake MI so that's where most of our camping is. Best, favorite place by far is Poncho's Pond in Ludington. Ludington is a great town, there is a city park along the water with huge playground equipment where you can watch the cross-lake ferry come in and out. That's one of our favorite spots to visit when we are there.
Poncho's is very clean, staff is extremely friendly, and the facilities are very nice. 3 swimming pools (one indoors), playground, fishing pond, nice paved roads and patio sites. We were just there for memorial day, I can't recommend it highly enough.

we haven't really done much camping further north than that. Once in Mackinaw City, but that was many years ago.

By next year, the one in Grand Haven might be good to visit again. We camped there when it was a Yogi Bear Jellystone park, but then it was bought a couple years ago by a horrible management company who made wholesale changes, made it into a NASCAR park, ticked everybody off, then lost the property to the bank. Now it is bank owned, but the manager is trying to return it to what it was back int he Yogi Bear days (minus the actual Yogi Bears). I couldn't even tell you what it will be called, but the facility itself was always pretty nice, great playground, kiddie pool and big pool, lots of activities, hay rides, etc.

Which KOA do you like in Michigan? We are planning our big summer trip for 2014 to Michigan. Can you recommend anything kid friendly along Lake Michigan and up into the UP? My wife went to college at Hillsdale but neither of us has been back since then. Any help would be appreciated. The trip is still being formed so any recs would be helpful.

We like the Jellystone parks too, but our favorite of all is a KOA in SE MI. Tons of activities and stuff for the kids, they play all day long over there. It is going to vary from park to park, I think.

I would say that most KOA's are very kid friendly. Almost always playground, pools, activities. Check out their individual websites to see what activities they offer.

I'm not sure if RVParkReviews will search for kid activities, but there are plenty of them out there.
I'd suggest starting another post, asking about parks in an area you'd like to visit....such as Myrtle Beach. I know that there are several CGs there that would fit the bill.
But, you can ask for a specific area, and I'm sure you'll get some great suggestions:)

Happy Camping:)

Keep in mind, a lake, pool, or just a bunch of other kids, may be enough for your youngster.

Jellystone has lots of parks in the US. Great for kids.

Some KOA's have kids activities in the summer.

also you can google rv parks with water parks. There's one in Kansas City. I also think there was a thread on this forum for that.

Maybe Good Sam can include children activities in their campground search criteria?
