I'm looking to pull out the popup and go camping for 3 days before the fall semester starts. We live in Arlington just outside of Fort Worth, TX. I'd like to find a camp ground no more than 2 hour drive. I'd like a place with a pool or lake and some activities for my 13 year old and 3 year old daughters. I've been considering Jellystone Park in Burleson and the Vineyards in Grapevine.
Thank you for all of the replies. I was also taking a look at Oakdale park in Glenrose. With its historic swimming pool it looks like a good summer spot and would give us the opportunity to check out the area around Fossil Rim. I'd like to check a trip to Fossil Rim in the fall when the weather cools.
of the 2 you mentioned I think the Burleson location would be better. They have a water park. Their website lists all the activities. Probably more expensive than Grapevine.
