Okay, it's been a while since this thread began, but I have to add my two cents. If I'm not mistaken, one of the prime reasons for child abuse, by parents or a caregiver is that a child will not stop crying. I understand the OP's discomfort, but the child must be feeling more! I can't say what I would do, but I'd like to think I might offer some help. Like trying to comfort the child to see if there was a simple reason for the crying. Maybe I wouldn't, would depend on the situation. I guess the parent's apathy would be my undoing. That's the inexcusable part. Hope you find a better site next time.
