Park near SeaWorld San Antonio?

We are looking to plan a trip to SW SA later in the summer and looking for a good park not to far from SW. I've done some searching but they all look like $50 a night with concrete pads, wifi, and all the fancy stuff. Any clean parks with out the frills?

Since you don't say how long you would be willing to drive to Sea World, I'll make an assumption that 20 miles isn't too far. One of my favorite campgrounds west of San Antonio is located within Castroville Regional Park. It's far enough yet close enough if you know what I mean. Nice park with lots of shade and Castroville is a nice historic area. Good luck.

We are about an hour south of Houston. It will be two families with 4 small kids, so looking for cheap and easy. Thanks
  • While not directly in San Antonio, check out the Texas Parks and Wildlife website.. I've lost count of the number of State Parks I've been to in Texas, all have have offered great stays. Just north of San Antonio is Guadalupe River SP, to the west is Garner SP.

Hope these help open up some options.

  • Admiralty RV Resort would be the lesser of the two that are close, we stayed there for two weeks last winter. We would go back again
