RV park in North Myrlte Beach,SC ??

IMHO the best CG in that area is Myrtle Beach Travel Park. It's not actually in North MB, but very close to it in Myrtle Beach. It is conveniently located near anything you could need. Willow tree is the best we have ever stayed at.

We stayed at Briarcliffe RV Resort last year and had a good time. We used Coast to Coast, so it was only $10 per night, but not sure what the regular rate is offhand, but here is the link to the website if you wanted to review.

MB Travel park is nice, but tight. Very near lots of shopping. There are three large parks in MB it self, with larger sites. We tried Lakewood and loved it, have not tried the other two (if it ain't broke....) Love that putt putt is free, kids play alot.

Not at all sure how "large sites" should be described. I think of the SC state parks as having mostly "large sites". I stay at a park like Lakewood, Ocean Lakes, etc.and I call them "smaller sites". I have stayed at some parks in the Northeast that I would have to describe as "sites that are too small" - as when your neighbor's sewer hookup is under your awning!! LOL!

Myrtle Beach Travel Park is by far your best choice in the NMB area if you want to be right on the beach.

None of the big three to the south have sites that are significantly (if any) larger than the sites at MBTP. Friends with kids stayed at Briarcliffe twice and wouldn't go again if you paid them. It's a membership campground, although it's also open to the public. Both times our friends stayed there they encountered members who seemed to believe that all kids should be inside by 8:00 p.m. Apache is older and somewhat rundown, and doesn't have as many kid friendly amenities and activities as MBTP.
