Fencing

We have purchased the portable fencing panels so we can keep our dogs in an area around the RV without being on the leash the whole time. And yes, we will be outside with them when they are in the pen. We are going to use the RV as one of the sides so we can have a large area for the dogs. How would you suggest we block off under the RV so the dogs can't crawl under the RV and outside the fenced area?
We have a Class C 31'.

Thanks for any input.

We have two enclosures of the 40" high and 8 panels each for a total of 16 panels with 2 gates. We will house a German shepherd, bully mix, and a jack russell. None of the dogs are jumpers. We have brought them camping several times but on leashes. They do very well in the RV but are a pain when we have them on long leashes outside when we are just relaxing. They would get tangled around trees and such. That is why we got the enclosures. The campgrounds around us allow the enclosures as long as you are outside with them.

We want the enclosure to be setup to where we open the RV door and the dogs go right out into it. Having 3 dogs in it is why we want it as large a setup as possible which is why we would like to use the RV as the 4th side. I was thinking sections of lattice might work but those would take up quite a bit of room when stored in the RV or we would have to have several pieces that join together.

We only need the lattice to around 1.5-2' high and about 25' long to cover from the back of the RV to the door.

I run the fencing to the steps and then I bungee cord a boogie board under the steps, to block that escape route. Has worked well for years. Some parks do not allow the fencing. If it's an issue, they will usually come by and tell you. We started when snowbirding in our RV. It didn't seem right to keep our puppies on a leash all winter. And like above, we never leave them out there alone.

Get more pet fencing and go across the side of your camper too. Problem solved.

We use 2 portable pens hooked together, not attached to the RV , our Chihuahuas like the pen and do not try to escape. The Fl. state Parks we stay at do not mind this arrangement , and we can clean up their poop without any problem. we usually stay outside with them but they would be no problem as they have never tried to escape. We put a water bowl in the pen so they can drink when they get thirsty.

Some CGs do NOT allow pens to be used.

So Check/verify ahead of arrival.

Why use one side of RV?...... just use a FULL pen set up. Then no scratches/damage to RV and less 'escape' opportunities.
Is it time for your medication or mine?

Was wondering the same. If there is any chance the dog might escape I'd guess the answer to be no.

I run a two for high section along the bottom of my rig with a pool noodle (slit on one side) on the top edge to keep,it from scratching.

What size dogs?? With our toy size we use a 3" exercise pen. With our large dogs which we used to have, two fastened together gave a bigger area which was necessary. Never had any success using the side of the rig as a barrier.
