Interesting dog names

I saw the best name for a dog in another section on here. It was a long hair mini Dachshund named Zamboni.
We had a long coat Chihuahua that I got to name for a change. He was Chimichanga, Chimi for short.

We have 2 Chihuahua's, toys, pearl and ruby.

Long ago had a Belgian Terv, that we named (based on my faulty reading of a German-English dictionary) - "Pelze Einbrucher" or "Furry homewrecker". "Pelze" for short. But he never was....

I can tell you what to NOT name a dog, if you subscribe to using the command "off" to tell a dog to not jump on a person. Yes, my rescued Australian Cattle Dog named Jack, DID jump on a visiting male friend (Don) from church and yes, I DID say that (then turned 40 shades of red when Don's eyebrows shot up and he laughed "Excuse me?????)

Knew someone with two Dobermans named Angel and Guardie. When she called them, it was "Guardian Angel!" 🙂

Most of my dogs have had the one-syllable name common to herders, but I broke that rule with my blonde Aussiepoo named "Jimmy Buff" (a nod to one of our favorite singers) - and now the guy whose birthday is today: "Augie" (Augie Doggie). He made it to 2 yrs old - I've always said I "don't even like dogs until they're 2" (jk)

We had a Cattle Dog rescue that originally was named Jake, but we changed to Jack due to the neighbors having a dog named Jake. In hindsight, Jack isn't a great name for a dog when you have a tendency to use the word "off" for meaning "stop jumping on that person". Had a pretty embarrassing moment with a male friend from church who stopped by one day.

I have had three lovely dogs in my lifetime that were two German Shepherd brothers named Sarge and Powell and a mix border collie named Bounce. Nothing exotic but wonderful to us.

We had 2 Beagles growing up. Their names were Ruff and Ready.

We had a terrier mix once many years ago. He only weighed 35 lbs but had a bark that sounded like an oversized Rottweiler. I should have recorded it for our house alarm. His name was Boca Grande, Boca for short.

Seems all of our kid names ended with "ie" .....
Laddie, Scoutie, Kodie, Mollie, Rubie, Cassie, Maggie, Rosie!???? Ok, I have to admit that a couple we adopted late in their lives, it didn't seem right to change their names...Elvis, Potter and Cooper.????
