Here is a picture taken this past weekend of Holly- our 7 year old rescue mini schnauzer. We camped at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, AL!!

This is Dottie a little over one year ago, a week after we got her from the Humane Society. She is a Hurricane Katrina Survivor. She came with a large group of puppies of many breeds. She turned out to be a Border Collie.


This is Dottie a little bigger and in big denial!


I never thought I could love a dog as much as I love Dottie. She is like my daughter (I have 2 teenage boys). She is unbelievably intelligent.

I was just going through some old negatives and found this from Christmas 1996. Gen. Missy was only 2 y.o. at the time. A couple of good lookin' girls! 🙂

We still have the candy cane toy, which Gen. Gretchen inherited and plays with.:):)

Our soon-to-be RV companions:



Rowan - 7 year old pure-bred Collie, with a genetic throwback to the Borzoi mingling of the line. 100 lbs (about 50% heavier than breed standard - all muscle) - amazing that a dog that was horribly abused and neglected for the first 6 years of his life has done a complete 180 and is a wonderful, loyal, gentle giant.

The two cats in the chairs may accompany us if they behave (fat chance!)



Sparkle - Sheltie/Shepherd mix, absolutely the goofiest, most delightful, and emotional dog I've ever been around - she "smiles" like this all the time.
