That hole stays big, I still miss Hannah. At first I didn't think I liked Gunner, but I was comparing him to Hannah. Then one day he turned into the perfect camping buddy! We are inseparable now...

So sorry for your loss, jake. We lost our 13.5 year old mix last Friday. Two years prior we lost his running buddy, who we had for 13 years but came to us as a fairly young, homeless dog.

We have 2 five-year-olds left. It never gets easier, that's for certain.

Thanks HeyJude! It is still very painful the loss. Snickers was such a good boy,,His hips couldnt keep going but his mind kept telling him he was young.. We lost him in June and had this one come to us the beginning of this month,,Hank has directed my attention away temporarily, but the hole in my heart is huge!!

16 years is a long time so you understand how we feel,,dogs will always be a part of our family!!

Snickers looked very happy. I lost my 16 y/o poodle last July. Love the new pup!

Our new RV travelmate...
No we didn't get a new RV... Yet!
But we did get an new travelmate for Skip... Our Border Collie.

Skip has been with me for over four years and we are inseperable... We've logged over seven thousand miles in the RV over this last year and more than a hundred and twenty-five thousand miles in the car too...

But this past month, while I was passing Skip's old alma mater, (the Okeechobee dog pound - a 93% kill shelter...) I decided to "stop in"... (mostley to say hi to the staff, who remembers Skip and really appreciate seeing him, because he is a success story...)
Well...
One of the staff asked if we were interested in "looking" at another herding dog, an Australian Shepherd, who was picked up as a stray several weeks ago, was never claimed and now his time was running short...

Meet Sydney!



He's a little high strung. a lot unsure of his new surroundings... but he loves to ride in the RV...!
Oh, if he only knew what he has gotten himself into... LOL!!! He's going to have a great life!!!
