That is the same thing one of our doxie's passed from. No symptoms until the morning we were renting a car and driving from AL to MI for the birth of twin granddaughters. In our case we were in our 1st year full-time and his normal vet was in MI. We drove straight thru to get him there and he passed in the vet's office that day. It is so very painful, and those little long dogs are sure a loving breed. I feel your pain and we still miss our little Riley. It's been 6 years. Time will help, but you never stop missing each and every one of the furry family members. Loving another does help. I am so sorry for your loss.
