Sandy met (online) the lady from Turkey that rescued Sasha. She's in St.Louis right now with Jan (from Love a Golden rescue) and another batch of rescued goldens. She said Sasha was rescued from Ayvalik, Turkey (I google mapped it). It looks to be a resort town on the western side of Turkey on the Mediterranean (I guess it's technically the Aegean Sea). She said Sasha had a rough time for a while and only had bread to eat. Sort of explains why she goes after anything alive or dead on our walks and any food left by Kaylee.
We're about 11 months in with Sasha and couldn't be happier. She's a wonder, great personality and a fantastic companion.
