After we lost our beloved Max in April I was not really sure what we were going to do. Fast foreword to the last couple of months we figured out really fast that camping without a fur kid was not as much fun. We passed in one, were going to drive 4 hours to look at a second one, but he was adopted the day before we could get there. Perusing petfinder.com I spotted a 4 month old rescue in Huston. Fast foreword he is being flown up to us on Saturday. Needless to say pictures coming soon.

I'm trying to understand why you are having a dog flown from Houston to Oregon. Aren't there animal shelters in Oregon, or did you get a special breed?

Not trying to gets technical, or anything, but it's "Ore-Gun". Well, that's what he says anyways.

We know the feeling.

We had to say good-bye to our 14 yr old camping/traveling buddy Maggie last Aug.
She was a Border Collie/Mix. Not sure what the Mix was but she was 78#

We thought we were done but secretly both of us were checking out rescue shelters and finally confessed to each other :B

We drove 300 miles on Easter Sunday and welcomed our new addition to our family.
An 8 yr old Border Collie/Mix ......Mix this time is something bit smaller. Sugar is only 38#

Congrats on the new puppy.
But ours is cuter then yours :B

Is it time for your medication or mine?

You are flying him First Class, right? :B

Is there such a thing any more? When I was traveling a 100K or more a year there was a first class. Wide seats, free drinks, better meals. Now? Who knows.

Sounds crazy I know. But we were looking for a lab, and this guy looks exactly like our max did at that age. Houston and Texas as has more strays than anywhere else. Many many kill shelters in Texas, so if we can get what we want, why not fly him in.
