Puppies chew. They just do. Especially when they are teething, but even after, maybe till they are 2 or 3 years old.
Ours have always been partial to wood. Stair railings, chair legs... We've tried all the fake rubber stuff, no interest.
The best (according to them) is the real cow femurs. Big bones, with lots of stuff on em. They love em, but get the s!@ts from them so we take em away after an hour or three.
They also like the flavored rawhide. Meiers has them, big ones, 3 for $9.99. Beef or chicken. They last a day. No worry about one of these going down wrong, they are 10" long and a few inches in diameter.
Dogs love to chew. And they love rawhide.
