TT came with 2 12v batteries. We very seldom boondock. It's time to replace batteries. Want to stay with 12v. Any suggestions?

I would head to Costco and buy two replacements. Type 24 batteries aren't expensive and having two makes a big difference if the power goes out and your forced to use the furnace ... worth ever penny.

If you seldom camp without shore power there's really no reason for anything more than a single Group 24 deep cycle / marine battery so the trailer's electric brake breakaway system will be functional, and for those rare occurrences where you may not have shore power available and would like to run your lights, water pump, etc. You haven't indicated which group size batteries these are that you have now but if they're group 24s mounted in group 24 boxes then you might as well get another G24 and just plunk it in one of the boxes. If they're larger G27 batteries then for a few $$ more you'd be better off with a group 27 battery that will fit that size box. If this is the case I'd just grab one with the best price from your local WalMart, Costco, etc.

Also known as a "deep cycle golf cart battery".

AND save the interconnect cables incase you decide later that you need that second battery.
