Looks good, but, it's not a true deep-cycle.

I saw that today. Have been looking at the Vmax which are more money but appear to be true deep cycle.

Where are these V-Max you speak of?

Well, I paid more than that last year, close to 60 bucks more, different brand but still. Seems like a decent price to me.

AGM have their niche. I would not be able to keep flooded in my rig.

Back to the topic - I remember those $160 105 AH Duracell/Deka, couldn't find them on the West Coast, now I see why.
I would not read too much into their "marine" label. On the Lifeline website batteries "deep cycle marine" and "deep cycle RV" are same models.

Much better deal than $260 for unknown 120AH VMax.

Yes, deep cycle AGM don't take a truly "deep" discharge below 50% too well.

About 100 amp hours is all

A pair of GC-2 flooded wet cells would cost about the same.
Those batteries give Minutes at 5 amps:1265 This is about 105 amp hours at C/21
(Group 31 should be 130 at the C/20 rate)

The pair of GC-2 215-230 depending on the sub-class.

Of course you need to water 'em from time to time,, but the good news there is you CAN add distilled water to replace what gets boiled off..Means longer life.

No negatives from me. East Penn is a good company. Heck next time up I may buy one for the toad and 2 gauge wire relocate it to the trunk.

I think the OP has a truck camper and location of the battery may come into play. That is a good price for a 105 AH AGM battery.

These lower$ AGMs do not have the extremely low self discharge, nor the ability to accept huge recharging currents as do the higher$$ AGM like Lifeline and Odyssey.

They likely do not have the same benefit as holding higher voltages under high loads like the higher $$ batteries.

Might not be a factor in the buyers usage, but should be known anyway.

It is said a chronically undercharged AGM will not last as long as a chronically undercharged flooded battery.

Factor in the extra price to that possibly shortened lifespan

So far as I am aware there is no such thing as a deep cycle AGM. All of them may be safely cycled to 50% state of charge.

Be sure to recharge to 100% as often as humanly possible. "recovery" of AGM batteries is far more difficult than with flooded batteries.

I have had the Duracell group 31 RV/Marine AGMs for almost 2 years. I have had no problems with them and they have been completely maintenance free. I would recommend them to anyone. Might not last as long as other premium brand AGMs but they are made by East Penn who are a very reputable mid line battery manufacturer.
