Check in the bay where your power cord is. If there is a 30 amp socket mounted in there, plug in your power cord to it and then start the generator. Also check on the generator for two circuit breakers mounted together. Turn them off and back on.

Power cord needs to be plugged in to supply power from gen. And as mentioned above the outlet is usually inside the bay where your cord comes out of. Sometimes it's on the side which is hard to see.
