- Chum_leeExplorerIt's been that way for years. IME, anything that says Onan on it is at least double the price as the the same product that has the OE manufacturers name on it. Onan makes generators and engines. Most of the ancillary parts are made by someone else.
P.S.: NAPA doesn't make parts either.
Chum lee - MrWizardModeratoryeah i know, NAPA is simply a rebrand
if i get a NAPA number anyplace can cross reference it
or i can do it my slef on the web - STBRetiredExplorerFound this Oil Filter Cross Reference When I was looking for a replacement for my Onan oil filter.
- RLS7201Explorer III believe you generator will use the same oil filter as my 7K NHM.
I use a Motocraft FL400S from Walmart. The FL400S filters are a little longer. Makes removing easier.
Does your generator look like this?
If so the FL400S will fit.
Richard - MrWizardModeratoryes it looks like that, the last letter in the Model number is different
that might indicate year ?
but otherwise yes thats it
thank you - STBRetiredExplorerI have the 5BGM model generator. It had the 122-0800 oil filter installed in it. That is the substitution list that I shared in the earlier post.
- MrWizardModeratorSTB thank you
- MrWizardModeratorFL400S
Perfect fit , and sticks out enough to get a grip on
Used a wrench from my 'cap' style set of filter wrenches to remove the old one only way to get it off
Now to find a replacement fuel/gas filter
Little screw in metal jobby - STBRetiredExplorer
