I have a 2002 fleetwood discovery class A motor home. Freight liner chassis , diesel. Our light bar panel (?) went out. So i can't see any displays-speed, fuel levels, warning lights, gauges, etc. I've had it at a truck shop who specialize in freight liners. They're having issues diagnosing the problem. First replaced the "message center FCCC" (RV VDC computer), but it wasn't that. They went on ezwiring to find & follow the wire diagram for the instrument cluster. Had all good powers/grounds.
Second diagnosis: light bar in the instrument cluster. There is power at the connector that goes into the light bar but there is no signal coming out to the gauges.
So here's the problem: they don't make this part new anymore. So we had to order an $800 used part. Ouch. Didn't work. The company sent us a second used part & they're going to try that. If that doesn't work, what should I do?! Anyone ever have this experience? I'm wondering if it's a major electrical issue? All feedback welcome!
