2015 Rockwood Windjammer 3025W - 30 or 50 amp service?

Greetings,

My DW and I just bought a used 2015 Forest River Rockwood Windjammer 3025W. The dealer has been storing it since January and now we are ready to pick it up, but it won't be for a couple weeks.

Our salesman told us that it's a 30 amp service hookup. All the literature I can find online, which isn't a lot, says it's a 50 amp service.

Is there anyone that knows the actual amperage that I'll need to hook up to? 30 or 50 amp service.

I don't know if it was an option to get 30 or 50 amp, but since it has a option for a second air conditioner, I imagine it would be 50 amp, but I don't know that so I am asking.

This is an awfully big trailer for 30 A, air conditioning, electric fireplace, electric water heater, and all the standard accessories that come with the modern trailer.

And secondly, can anyone point me to a site that has more information on the 3025W than what I could find on the Forest River site, which is a lot.

Thanks a lot.
Jerry

Whether it's 30A or 50A, you can use a site with either type of connection. For a 30A site and a 50A trailer you definitely need an adapter. Usually 50A sites have a 30A socket as well, but I'm sure there are occasional exceptions and sometimes the 30A socket may not be in good shape, so an adapter in that case is not useless either. It's also handy to have a 15A to 30A adapter in either case should you only have a 15A socket available (i.e. a normal electric outlet).

Of course, with 30A electric service, you have to be careful about how much power you use at any one time: generally one air conditioner and one more high-power appliance is about it at any time, with high power appliances being things like a microwave, electric water heater, hair dryer, space heater, Keurig, etc. With 15A service, you're naturally even more limited.

Mine came with a single AC unit but the prep and pre-wire for the second AC.

So, it's 50amp.

3 ways it could come. 30 amp with single AC, 50 amp single AC (2nd AC prep), and 50 amp with dual AC units.

Yours MAY have the OPTION for the 2nd AC, but if it doesn't have it, or is not prepped for it, it could be 30amp.

This site link lists 50A as an option along with second AC- kind of a bundle. Mine was listed the same way.
So if it says second AC, it will be 50A.
