2019 Equinox Dead Batteries

Flat towing at 2019 Equinox behind 2008 Holiday Imperial. Have a charge line from MH to car (13 volts) via ToadCharge. Motorhome also has Daytime run lights which I think could be issue with battery drain to car. Diode kit from Blue Ox was installed with base plate. After 3 hours of tow, its a crapshoot if the car will start. Anyone have any suggestions or updated policy from Chevy?
  • Your post is fine.. No need for help or support IMO. Try tech issues.
  • Why are the Equinox daytime running lights on? If the ignition is in the OFF/ACC mode the lights will not be on. I believe your are towing the Equinox with the ignition in the ON position instead of the OFF or ACC position.
  • With the car setup for towing and the MH running what is the voltage measured at the car battery posts?
  • The owners manual probably suggests to remove specific fuses when towing. There are disconnect switches available to make that easier
  • No daytime running lights are on the MH. don't see anything extra on the car but twice the battery has been completely discharged. last time we couldnt even get back into the car because the door locks were dead. Had to have it towed to Chevy place. Said battery was dead, and they had to reset module (??) Charge line from MH has 13.2 volts. don't understand why battery is completely dead...
  • 2019 has no recommendation for pulling any fuses. Only the towing steps to and from recreational towing..
  • Apparently the chargge line is not getting to the battery. So again:

Also after hookup and before starting the MH turn on the car headlights for 10 min to remove any surface charge. At that point the car battery should be 12.7V.
