A/C power problem

I have a 2006 Gulfstream Endura 6316 Class C.
On the land line or generator I have 120 volts on the output of the 2 main breakers and 3 other double breakers. I get 120volts on the output of all of them but nothing 120v works. The 12v sides works.
Any suggestions?

No need to pull switches to tell if 12 of 120 volt. Look at the bulbs.

You know what 120 volt bulbs look like.. If not visit your favorite supermarket and look at the display.. Though there are 12 volt lamps that look EXACTLY like a 120 (Save for the markings stamped or printed on 'em) in fact I have a couple in stock... Most 12 volt lamps are considerably different.
  • I now have everything working except the ref. (Heater ordered works on gas) and the front overhead lights. Not sure if the lights are 12v or 120v. Today's project is to pull the switches and check them.
The gfi outlet over the sink was bad. All the breakers and fuses test good.
    Thanks for the help
  • our 95 Safari came standard with 120v (4) lamp incandescent candelabra over dining room table
and (3) 120v incandescent wall sconces in the living area

but yes the OPs bathroom lamp is most likely 12vdc

I have never seen 120 volt lights factory installed in an RV, however after market anything is possible.

Can you give a list of what does, and does not, work

Also you said you measured 120V on the breakers,, With reference to what (White bus or bare/green bus)

    Some things to look at
MIcrowave, Air Conditioners and TV's work But outlets do not (GFCI(s) tripped)

NOTE: MIcrowave migbht be on a GFCI as well

    NOTHING AT ALL WORKS

While unpluged.. Take a screwdriver (may need a #2 Square bit) and check all the screws, I mean ALL the screws in the power distribution panel... Several of mine were loose.

Light over sink is 12 volt. in fact unless someone has done some mods, all lights should be 12 volt.

Check the fuses, and the bulbs. Also (this is not universal) my bathroom lights have two swqitches One on wall one on light, BOTH must be on for them to work.. Unless I have a reason to drop the fixture, than the one on the fixtgure gets... modified...

I have 2 lights in the bathroom. One on the wall works and has it's own switch. The three bulb fixture over the sink doesn't work and has a wall switch.
    Thanks

  • I reset the gfi over the sink and the front end works now.
I reset the one in the bath room and the receptical works but the light over the bath room sink did not come on. I'm not sure if it's 12v or 120v. I'll check it tomorrow.
    Thanks.
