Added External propane line for BBQ...DONE!

I decided to just jump right in and play "Joe the Plumber".....Playing with propane...What could go wrong!

It came out great!

UPDATE!

Hardened the propane feed area...

There is a flat steel metal support between the tire and my propane plumbing. This is where I attached an aluminum box I fabricated to protect the propane pipe in the event of a catastrophic tire failure.

Also keeps the quick connect hose and the QC nice and clean

So, the set up you did here is 11" water column right? I need to run a high pressure line from the tanks to my gas grill. My trailer came with the high pressure tap already installed before the regulator and a quick connect with hose. I am thinking of leaving that in place running 3/8" stainless with stainless compression fittings (2000psig rating)to the grill and having a quick connect at each end. When I want to use the grill, I can "hot up" the line at the tank quick connect and hook up a quick connect hose at the grill. The only drag would be having to purge the line prior to lighting up.

I might "harden" this area with a metal box of some sort. To protect it from a blow out or road debris.

Nice work, but that ball valve hanging down next to the tire concerns me. If road debris or a blow out damaged the valve, you could have a serious problem.

All four " feeds" are not isolated in any way. What is a propane isolation valve?

Is there an isolation valve upstream of where the new line ties in? Should there be one?

Nice write up, I was wondering how hard it would be to install an extra propane line.
